Born and raised on the West Coast I have painted all my life. My educational background is in Theatre & Landscape Architecture. In the past three years I have had One-Woman shows in Seattle WA and Washington VA.
My work is concerned with energy, emotion, mortality and PLAY. At times I think of it as interior landscapes. There is a meditative - no holds barred - let it rip quality to many of my paintings that can be both excessive and stark. My imagery comes from life, dreams, nature and maybe even all those old horror movies on late night T.V. as a kid! Contrasts, opposites, light and dark, life and death all play a part. I use primarily water based mediums... Tempera, Watercolor, Gouache & Acrylic.
In November 2005 I was one of several artists who held an Open Studio for the Artists of Rappahannock Tour and will be doing it again this year November 4th & 5th 2006. Come Join the Fun!
