New Membership

Membership in this cooperative gallery requires a $292.50 yearly membership fee (payable in July) and a commitment to gallery-sit at least 8 days a year.

Requirements for artists applying for membership

Applicants should email (as an attachment) three images of recent work (jpeg) and a resume to Patti Brennan at dedanann@dedanann.net or middlestreetgallery@gmail.com for review one week before the monthly meeting (the second Saturday of each month). Or the applicant may forward their website address or mail a CD/DVD to the noted address. Once the images have been reviewed by the members, the applicant will be contacted and informed of the group's initial decision.

Once preliminary review has been approved, the candidate must bring work in person to the gallery. Your presentation should include

  • 8-10 pieces of current work.
  • 4 recent, framed and ready to hang works.
  • One page bio or resume

Jurying takes place on the second Saturday of each month, during our regular business meeting. The meeting runs from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.

Members in attendance discuss the merits of the work based on quality, presentation, and the urgency of your personal vision. We also consider how your work complements the work of the current members and if The Middle Street Gallery is the right venue for its display.

The Middle Street Gallery's mission is to support quality and innovation in the arts, to promote the exposure, exhibition and sale of its members' work, and to provide opportunities for the interaction between artists and the community in a regional, rural setting.
