REBECCA BOURNE GRAHAM

Rebecca Graham’s large-scale portraits are all about capturing the fleeting moments in life and making them permanent and unavoidable. Whether it is a conversation or an intimate moment in which the subject and the viewer feel as if they are invading each other’s space, her work seeks to find intimacy in the everyday. Rebecca earned an MFA in painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2007 and a BA in Fine Arts along with an MT in Education in 2000, from the University of Virginia. She has shown her paintings in solo and group shows in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, Virginia, and internationally in Mexico and Italy. She has taught as an adjunct graduate professor of painting and drawing at VCU in the MIS program for art educators and currently teaches Art and Art History at Battlefield High School in Prince William County, Virginia. Rebecca currently lives and paints on her family farm in Markham, Virginia, with her husband and two children. Her work can be found on her website, rebeccagrahamgallery.com or her artist facebook page, under Rebecca B. Graham.
